* Editor's Commentaries - #85 Is Silence Golden?  The oh-so reverent convention of "A Moment of Silence" in the USofA Today

What's the Question?  Stay 'tuned,' for the editor's answer.

.  Perhaps you are familiar with the song with the name and/or refrain "Silence is Golden, Golden...," and certainly there are times, and circumstances in which silence is desirable, necessary, or even critically important; still, there are a great many times and circumstances in which silence is not desirable, nor necessary, and in which it proves devastating and deadly.  Despite its always imperfect condition, there was a time in the USA in which society and culture were not entirely subverted, corrupted, perverted, extorted, and run roughshod over by pagans and heathens; such is not the case in the USA of Today.

Practices which pass for "christian," religious, reverential, respectful, honorable, compassionate, empathetic...but which are alien to and antithetical to christian, holy, godly, and God-pleasing have become fixtures and standards in the USofA Today.

For example, the oh-so reverent convention of observing "a moment of silence" to "pay our respects" to persons who have been murdered, have been slain, or who have been killed in a disaster.  This convention passes for good and godly, but represents a deliberate usurpation of godly practice.  Instead of praying to God, crying out to God, publicly reading God's Word, preaching, personally reading God's Word, mourning, fasting...we insert a "moment of silence" prior to the beginning of a meeting, conference, convention, exhibition, function, dinner, sports contest...and we "move on" putting the unpleasant immediate past firmly behind us so we can continue with blind, sinful, wayward lives without being affected by the suffering and destruction of others.

Amazing really.  Moments of silence are fully in accord with cremating our dead.  Tell me if you will, what are the universal symbols of the Holocaust, Hitler's annihilation of the Jews*, his Satanic "Final Solution" to the Jews* carried out in his so-called Concentration Camps?  There are many terrible symbols of Hitler's mass murder of the interred Jews*, but for me the universal symbols are the showers used to murder the Jews* en masse with poisonous gas, the ovens used to burn the bodies of the murdered Jews* to ash, and the chimneys or smokestacks of the crematory ovens.

But while these images should strike horror in the hearts of good and godly people, what horrifies me is to see WWII veterans and survivors embracing cremation as a respectable, reasonable, honorable, legitimate procedure for preparing their dead for burial.

The ways of the pagans and the heathens have infiltrated this nation to such a degree that they have become mainstream, and to object to them is to make oneself a target for ridicule, derision, dishonour....  I can take it, it's not that I have a "thick skin," it's just that I don't know what it is to be honoured, respected, loved...by the world, and thus I can do without it.

There are still good and godly people in the USA of Today (I state this by faith, more than by experience); but the nation as a whole (George Gallup's descriptions of the nation notwithstanding), long ago ceased to be good and godly, and converted to paganism, heathenism, and hedonism.

* Contrary to the "best" information one can get from the major media elites, the national news networks, PBS...Hitler's Holocaust encompassed the mass-murder of a like number of Christians to Jews, i.e., six million of each!!

And lest we forget, Josef Stalin murdered millions of "white Russians" in addition to the six million Jews he had murdered.  The "white Russians" included Georgians, and Ukrainians....  Of course mass murder of millions is a hallmark, a defining characteristic of Communism wherever it has taken over, e.g., Russia, Eastern Europe, China, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Cuba, Angola; indeed Communism and Fascism (Socialist cousins) depend on mass murder and terror to take and retain control, i.e., "command and control."

.  The truth is that the nonsensical practice of observing a moment of silence is an utter fraud which is a mechanism used to supplant the true; a "moment of silence" is an incredibly cheap substitute for prayer to God, crying out to God, public reading of God's Holy Word, preaching, personal reading of God's Word, godly mourning, fasting, humiliation...contemplating God, meditating on God and His Word.  A "moment of silence" is a mechanism devoid of any spiritual significance, power, or godly inspiration; it is a dead ritual supposedly for the dead, but which is really for the walking dead.  It was designed to take the place of the true godly response to evils and disasters, and keep people from thinking on God, repenting, turning to God, converting and being saved....

.  So what is the point, what is the significance of this, why should you care?  Just this!  The signs of the times in these United States of America Today show forth a nation and generations which are divorced from God and godliness and are in mortal and eternal jeopardy!  Thus far God has tarried in visiting this nation with overflowing judgment, but one should not presume that delayed judgment is the same as a stay of judgment.  God's overflowing judgment tarries yet, except for the multitudes of people (a great many of whom have been babes, children, and young women) whom He has allowed to be preyed upon; but the truth is that His longsuffering tarrying will come to an end in the not distant future.

Occasionally I think while standing up, walking, or even chewing gum, though I can't say I necessarily do my best thinking while exerting myself in these ways - Editor/Ed.

Boys are so silly, I prefer to do my deep thinking, reflection, ruminating, and meditation, while I am reclining at length in the tub, preferably with several servants to attend to my every whim and need.  [One must be careful to only think in moderation while soaking, though, lest one should turn into a prune!]  Umm, I wonder if those silly hunky stone-age boys are thinking about me?  If they think they can use me like I'm some worthless disposable thing, they've got another thing coming!

{No, bathing beauty.  If I had a lady like you to think about (but a little less "hard-bodied"), I wouldn't manage to think of anything else.  It is true, God does work in mysterious ways.}

 Ah yes, now I see the resemblance between Albert Einstein and CBM's Editor, they are both hard-bodied hunks (almost as if chiseled out of stone) and undeniably dreamers.
