* Editor's Commentaries - #80  So, What Do You Believe The Future Holds For America?

What's the Question?  Stay 'tuned,' for the editor's answer.

.  Perhaps you have waded through CBM's website, despite not agreeing with what you have read; if that describes you, what do you believe the future holds for America?  Really.

.  Perhaps you agree with the movers and shakers of Wall Street who communicate and demonstrate that they expect things to go on as they have gone on during recent times, i.e., no huge changes to speak of, certainly nothing cataclysmic, or catastrophic.  They routinely opine that there will likely be continued economic cycles and fluctuations; modest stock market volatility, e.g., corrections; political variations; and though perhaps something less than permanent prosperity lying just around the corner, nonetheless a relatively unbroken horizon of more "good times" ahead, i.e., prosperity for the prosperous, wealth for the wealthy, and status quo for perpetuity.

Perhaps you agree with the assessments offered by the movers and shakers of the Republican and Democrat political parties, e.g., whatever changes lie ahead for the great ship of state, they will for the most part be manageable ones and the future will chiefly feature the positive things of the recent past, e.g., prosperity and security at home from enemies abroad; on the whole all will be well; society will continue without dangerous changes; the nation will continue to be the so-called "sole world superpower"; the US will continue to be the economic giant it is, and will continue to be able to call the shots the way it does....

Perhaps you agree with those who believe that there will still be NFL Superbowls being contested hundreds of years from now; Academy Award Ceremonies hundreds of years from now; Emmys awarded hundreds of years from now; Golden Globe Awards presented hundreds of years from now; Grammy Awards hundreds of years from now; the Today Show hundreds of years from now....

Or perhaps you believe that the earth will self destruct before too many more decades have come and gone; perhaps you believe that global warming, el nino, la nina, greenhouse gases, fossil fuel exhaustion, ozone layer depletion, acid rain, mercury poisoning, hoof-in-mouth disease, mad cow disease, avian flu (aka bird flu)...and AIDS will bring an untimely end to the 'most highly evolved,' progressive, modern, knowledgeable, enlightened, and wise of peoples this world has been witness to during its existence.

But perhaps in your heart of hearts you are not satisfied with the wisdom of this age, you do not find the "truths" of this age to be persuasive, you know that there is more to the developments you have witnessed during your lifetime than the powers that be would have you believe.  Perhaps you have caught enough glimpses during your lifetime to know that God continually gives witness to His truth which refutes the lies of Satan, the lies of his servants, and the folly of sinful man.

  Occasionally I think while standing up, walking, or even chewing gum, though I can't say I necessarily do my best thinking while exerting myself in these ways - Editor/Ed.

Boys are so silly, I prefer to do my deep thinking, reflection, ruminating, and meditation, while I am reclining at length in the tub, preferably with several servants to attend to my every whim and need.  [One must be careful to only think in moderation while soaking, though, lest one should turn into a prune!]  Umm, I wonder if those silly hunky stone-age boys are thinking about me?  If they think they can use me like I'm some worthless disposable thing, they've got another thing coming!

{No, bathing beauty.  If I had a lady like you to think about (but a little less "hard-bodied"), I wouldn't manage to think of anything else.  It is true, God does work in mysterious ways.}

Al's secret to his superior thinking - sitting down.

 Ah yes, now I see the resemblance between Albert Einstein and CBM's Editor, they are both hard-bodied hunks (almost as if chiseled out of stone) and undeniably dreamers.
