* Editor's Commentaries - #75  Insanity...

What's the Question?  Stay 'tuned,' for the editor's answer.

.  A favorite contemporary definition for "insanity," which is very much in vogue right now and continues to grow in popularity, which is frequently quoted, repeated, and used in various teaching, multimedia, business, and motivational presentations...goes as follows (this is the gist of the definition, but not a direct quote):

According to the social engineers: Insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different outcome - or continuing to do the same things and expecting a different outcome.

For the "geniuses" (or genie-asses) out there to attempt to pass this off as a "definition" for insanity is nothing short of stupendous*; but there is a method to their madness (pun intended).  The proliferation of this so-called definition of insanity, is intended to sway God's people from holding fast and obeying God, from steadfastly holding to their convictions despite lack of answers to prayer....  God tries His people by allowing them to go through long periods of time during which prayers are not answered, or responded to.  Satan is hell-bent on causing people to sin against God, in much the same way as he prevailed upon King Saul to sin against God, and he uses propagandistic manipulation of language, e.g., labeling God's people as stubborn, closed minded, ignorant, intolerant, and insane, to pressure them into sinning against God (to their destruction).

This so-called definition is actually a buzz-expression or buzz phrase if you will (used like a buzz-word, but unlike a buzz-word, it is an expression or figure of speech), which is rapidly becoming a cliché.

Many hireling ministers who are forever repeating whatever worldly buzz phrases are highest in popularity at any given time are incorporating this "definition" in preaching and teaching to the throngs they seduce.

But though this purported definition of insanity is not a definition, permit me to use it by way of poetic license for illustrative purposes, as it actually fits the following scenario.

The powers that be, the social engineer powers behind the leaders and rulers in the USA, have enjoyed power to rule and to destroy for decades now.  I can attest that they have pursued strategies, tactics, plans, and policies consistently for decades, and continue to persist in stubbornly, stupidly, sadistically, perversely, satanically pursuing the same ones that they have for many decades, despite having failed stupendously and at enormous cost.  But while their evil efforts would be laughable if not so terrible, the vanity, egotism, and self-worship of these control freak powers that be does not permit them to ever deviate from their deviant ways.  They are hell-bent on destroying God's people, and cannot tell the truth even when it is the pragmatic thing to do; they are incapable of ever honestly objectively evaluating, reconsidering, and altering their plans in light of their objectives and their profoundly abject failures, much less to make a drastic turn-about in their strategies and policies.

Is such behaviour unprecedented?  No.

Despite the profound failure of their activities, they are guaranteed to eventually enjoy at least the lowest measure of success, i.e., the destruction of God's people, the same way U.S. Grant (at the command of his Commander-in-Chief, Honest Abe) was guaranteed to eventually succeed in crushing the people of the South (by that solid strategy of stupidity that accomplishes its object by mere weight"  [and "total war" against the civilian citizenry of the South and their land]).

Curiously enough, the social engineer geniuses (or genie-asses) that are promoting their contemporary little daffynition of insanity relentlessly engage in the very behaviour which they term insanity!

If a person is in the right, worships the one true God, obeys God...they should "occupy until their Lord returns" come what may!  In this case, what passes for stubbornness, closed mindedness, and Now "insanity," is in fact virtuous, noble, honourable, faithful, and true!

If on the other hand, a person holds opinions which are worldly, foolish, sinful, selfish, self-serving, blind, ignorant, of the Devil...they should let them go and turn to God; to "stubbornly" refuse to do so is ruinously self-destructive.  However, Satan and his evil servants will never work to cause a child of God or one whom God intends for eternal life to turn from sin to God!  Never!

* Insanity is in fact when a person is not in their right mind, i.e., they are not themselves, they are lunatick (typically due to demonization).  Whereas destroyers, sadists, torturers, murderers, terrorists are fully themselves, they are not insane, they are evil like their father before them, and like him they came only to steal, murder, and destroy!

.*  The New York Herald endorsed Robert E. Lee for presidential nominee of the Democratic party vs. Republican Ulysses S. Grant, saying it should "nominate General R. E. Lee...making no palaver or apology.  He is a better soldier than any of those they have thought upon and a greater man.  He is one in whom the military genius of this nation finds its fullest development.  Here the inequality will be in favor of the Democrats for this soldier, with a handful of men whom he moulded into an army, baffled our greater Northern armies for four years; and when opposed by Grant was only worn down by that solid strategy of stupidity that accomplishes its object by mere weight."  [and "total war" against the civilian citizenry of the South and their land]

  Occasionally I think while standing up, walking, or even chewing gum, though I can't say I necessarily do my best thinking while exerting myself in these ways - Editor/Ed.

Boys are so silly, I prefer to do my deep thinking, reflection, ruminating, and meditation, while I am reclining at length in the tub, preferably with several servants to attend to my every whim and need.  [One must be careful to only think in moderation while soaking, though, lest one should turn into a prune!]  Umm, I wonder if those silly hunky stone-age boys are thinking about me?  If they think they can use me like I'm some worthless disposable thing, they've got another thing coming!

{No, bathing beauty.  If I had a lady like you to think about (but a little less "hard-bodied"), I wouldn't manage to think of anything else.  It is true, God does work in mysterious ways.}

Al's secret to his superior thinking - sitting down.

 Ah yes, now I see the resemblance between Albert Einstein and CBM's Editor, they are both hard-bodied hunks (almost as if chiseled out of stone) and undeniably dreamers.
