Christmas, Nativity, CHRIST's birth in Bethlehem

What Is Truth? - What Hath The LORD Answered Thee, What Hath The LORD Spoken Unto Thee?

"Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art thou a king then?  JESUS answered, Thou sayest that I am a king, To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.  Every one that is of the truth heareth My Voice. [!]  Pilate saith unto Him, What is truth?" John 18:37,38

Peter, Peter.... (Rocky Peter)

  1. Is Peter, i.e./that is, the Apostle Simon Peter, the Rock upon which CHRIST's Church is built, as the Roman Catholic church insists?

  2. If so, doesn't that prove the Roman Catholic church's claim of being "the one true church"? and its claim of being directed by successive Apostles up to the present, and onward to the return of CHRIST JESUS?

  3. If not, then who, and/or what, was JESUS CHRIST referring to as "the Rock" upon which He built His Church?

Matthew 16:1-12

"The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

"He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.  And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring.  O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?  A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas.  And he left them, and departed.

"And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

"Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

"And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

"Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?  Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?  Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?  How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

"Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees."

Matthew 16:13-20

"When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

"And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

"He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

"And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

"And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

"Then charged He His disciples that they should tell no man that He was Jesus the Christ."

Matthew 16: 21-23

"From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

"Then Peter took Him, and began to rebuke Him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

"But He turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind Me, Satan: thou art an offence unto Me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men."

Matthew 17:1-8

"And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.  And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

"Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

"While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

"And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.  And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.  And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only."

Matthew 18:1-7

"At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

"And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them.  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

"Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth MeBut whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

"Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!"

Matthew 18:18-20

{Spoken to the disciples as a group, not specifically to Peter, nor specifically to any one apostle, nor to the inner circle of Peter, James, & John}

"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Matthew 19:3-10

"The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

"And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female.  And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh.  What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

"They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

"He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.  And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

"His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry."

[Dear ones, did you get that?  The disciples, i.e., that is, Jesus' handpicked Apostles, declare that if they cannot divorce their wives for reasons other than if their wives are sexually unfaithful, it is not good to marry!  Yes; Simon Peter, John, and James, the inner circle, were as unspiritual, unfaithful, carnal, and unworthy as the Pharisees and Sadducees were!  But by all means put your confidence in sinful, dense, foolish men, instead of in Jesus Christ!]

Matthew 19:13-15

"Then were there brought unto him little children, that He should put His hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. [!]

"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.  And He laid His hands on them, and departed thence."

[Do you remember Matthew 18:1-7?  The apostles, including superstar Simon Peter, did not!  So what did the apostles do here?  They blundered blindly, arrogantly right ahead and committed the following trespass which according to Jesus Christ should have earned them death!  Yes, I did say death.]

 Matthew 18:4-7

"Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth Me But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

"Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!"

.  The Roman Catholic church hierarchy would have us believe that Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God, in saying "upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" in Matthew 16:13-20, was supposedly referring to Peter as this unassailable, invincible "rock," against which the gates of hell (and all of Satan's concerted forces) would not prevail, while in the very next verses Matthew 16:21-23, Jesus rebuked Peter, "Get thee behind Me, Satan: thou art an offence unto Me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men."

These statements as rendered/calculatedly misinterpreted by the Roman Catholic church hierarchy, are not remotely consistent, nor remotely reconcilable, with God's truth, instead they are in utterly absolute opposition to the full counsel of God as revealed in His Word.

The first statement is made by Jesus the Christ in confirming to Peter the man (and to all who would read this testimony in the Word of God in time to come), that God has revealed the Lordship of Jesus to Peter the man, and the Lord further reinforces this by announcing the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, i.e. that Jesus is the chief cornerstone upon which the Church is built, and which will fill the entire earth and prevail against all of the concerted evils Satan will wreak to attempt to destroy it.

The second statement is made by Jesus to rebuke Peter the man for resisting the truth of God, resisting the will of God, and resisting the fulfillment of God's plan of redemption for sinful mankind, the redemption which compelled God the Father to ask Christ Jesus to come to earth, and which compelled Jesus to come.  The plan of redemption which rocky Peter resists is the very reason that God revealed the truth of Jesus' Messiahship to Peter!

Then after only six days, God the Father personally visits the earth to personally rebuke Peter and to cause him to fear and worship Jesus Christ, God the Son, even as he is supposed to fear and worship God the Father!

But if you want to believe the wretched lie that Peter, Simon Peter, Apostle Peter, rocky Peter, was and is the Rock upon which the Church of Jesus Christ is built, go ahead; but, Paul (you know, Apostle Paul, as in Peter and Paul) absolutely refutes it (e.g., I Corinthians 3:10,11), and indeed it is an outrageous lie to claim that the holy bedrock foundation of Christ's Holy Church is any man other than the "son of man" Christ Jesus himself.  [per Acts 4, the only name given under heaven by which we may be saved.]

Matthew 7:24-29

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock

"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

"And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

"And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes."

Matthew 21:42-46

"Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

"Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.  And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

"And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.  But when they sought to lay hands on him they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

Unmistakably, "a rock," "the stone," "the head of the corner," "this stone" is Jesus the Christ/Yeshua the Messiah, not Simon Peter, not Cephas, not Peter the apostle/"St. Peter."

So many of the chief priests and Pharisees of the Jewish hierarchy were the enemies of God, as has been true of so very many in the Roman Catholic hierarchy.

Matthew 19:25-30

"When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?  But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

"Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee: what shall we have therefore?

"And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

"And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.  But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first."

Peter poses the question, "what shall we have therefore?"  Jesus answers all the apostles (including other disciples, one of whom will become an apostle in the place of Judas Iscariot who will betray Jesus), "in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."  All twelve apostles will enjoy the same high honor, responsibility, and position; Peter is not promised any higher, any more elevated position, honor, nor responsibility than any of the 12 apostles!  Strange don't you think, i.e., strange that Jesus the Christ when he has returned from glory, when he is seated on the throne of his glory in the regeneration, will give an equal honor, responsibility, and position to all twelve apostles, and nothing extra-special for Rocky Peter?!  And stranger yet, apparently poor "apostle" Paul, and "apostle" Barnabas are left out of this especially high honor, responsibility, and position, while the 12 apostles are crowned with such distinction, but EQUAL distinction among themselves.  How can such things be?  The truth is simply that the teachings of the Roman Catholic church are manifestly and ruinously false.

Revelation 21:9-14

"And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.  And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

"And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb."

Woops, that can't be right, can it?  Equal honour for the twelve apostles?  But what about Rocky Peter?  Surely something must be amiss!  And yes, something is, and that something is Roman Catholic doctrine, teaching, tradition, error....

.  If you are still in doubt, perhaps you would be interested in what Apostle Peter himself believed, knew, and said, to be true concerning the Rock, the Stone upon which his LORD & Saviour Jesus Christ's Church was built.

Acts 4:1-12

"And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.  And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.  Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

"And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes, And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem, And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

"Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

"This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

[Do you imagine Peter, with John standing by as a faithful witness, is stating that he, i.e. Peter, is the one in whom there is salvation, the only name under heaven given by which we must be saved?  If not, then Peter is NOT claiming to be the rock, the stone, the chief cornerstone, but is instead attesting (at the risk of his life) that Jesus the Christ is the Rock, the Stone, the Chief Cornerstone!]

Psalm 118:21-24

"I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

"The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the cornerThis is the LORD's doing, it is marvellous in our eyes.  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."

Question: In these scriptures is the Holy Spirit testifying of Jesus the Christ, or of sinful, failing, dense, presumptuous, shaky Peter?!

Psalm 118:25-29

"Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD I beseech thee, send now prosperity.  Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

"God is the LORD, which hath shown us light; bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altarThou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

"O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever."

John 10:11-18

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.  But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.  The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.  As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.  And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myselfI have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of my Father."

John 12:32

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth; will draw all men unto me."

John 12:35-36

"Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you.  Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.  While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light."

John 12:46

"I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness."

Psalm 118:19-20

"Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter."

John 10:7-10

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

"All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to murder, and to destroy.  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Additionally, regarding what Peter and John thought of the ruling religious hierarchy of their day and its teachings, vs. the rulership of Jesus the Christ and his teachings:

Acts 4:13-20

"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

"And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.  But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.  But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.  And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

"But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.  For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."

Acts 4:20-33

"So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.  For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

"And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

"And when they heard that they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?  The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

"For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

"And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

"And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

"And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.  And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all."

.  If you are still in doubt, perhaps you would be interested in what "Apostle" Paul himself believed, knew, and said, to be true concerning the Rock, the Stone upon which his LORD & Saviour Jesus Christ's Church was built.

Romans 9:30-33

"What shall we say then?  That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.  But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.  Wherefore?  Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law.

"For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."  [Do you really imagine this is referring to Peter?!]

I Corinthians 3:10,11

"According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.  But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

Galatians 2:1-21

"Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.  And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.  But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

"But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me [Paul], as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me [Paul] toward the Gentiles;)

"And when James, Cephas [Peter], and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen and they unto the circumcision.  Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

"But when Peter [Rocky Peter] was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.  For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.  And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

"But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter [Rocky Peter] before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?  We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

"But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin?  God forbid.  For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.  For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

Romans 11:13

"For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I [Paul] am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:"

.  Interestingly enough, Apostle Peter, the good old, alleged, purported, Sole Founding Rock of "the Holy Roman Catholic Church," is described by Apostle Paul repeatedly as having the gospel for the JEWS committed unto him (along with John and James [the lesser]); while Paul insists the gospel for the GENTILES was committed unto himself (and unto Barnabas).  Fascinating don't you think?

So, the Apostle Peter, whom the Roman Catholic church foundationally, fundamentally, and infallibly declares, teaches, and stands upon being the one "Rock" of the church, i.e., the founding bedrock "Rock" of the Roman Catholic institution, if he is a rock at all (according to no less highly held an authority than the Apostle Paul), he [Peter] cannot be the "Rock" for any portion of the church except  ONLY for the JEWS!!!!

And how do you like Paul upbraiding Rocky Peter for hypocritically, cowardly, leading the church leaders astray, including leading even "Apostle" Barnabas astray?  [Barnabas whom Apostle Paul refers to as also being an Apostle]  So, whom are you going to believe?  Are you going to believe the third person of the Trinity, God's Holy Spirit, who inspires the Holy Bible, and whom is in one accord with God the Father and God the Son; or, are you going to believe the Roman Catholic institution which (like the Jewish institution before it) corrupts, pollutes, ignores, adds to and takes away from, supplants, rewrites, opposes, refutes, & negates God's Holy Word (all of which God Prohibits and eternally condemns)?

You cannot have it both ways; either you are with the LORD, or you are apart from the LORD!  You choose whom you will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!
