CHRIST's Resurrection of Life, Body (CRLB) - Creed & Statements of Faith & Practice
CRLB's attestation to The Apostles' Creed, with corrections, and an additional brief Statement of Faith and Statement of Practice
. The Apostles' Creed
We Believe in GOD the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus CHRIST his only Son our LORD, which was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell. The third day he arose from the dead, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of GOD the Father Almighty; from whence HE shall come to judge both the quick and the dead.
We Believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
. The Apostles' Creed, corrected
We Believe in GOD the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus CHRIST his only Son our LORD, which was begotten by the Holy Ghost, conceived in and born of the virgin Mary; after showing forth the glory of God and His eternal truth He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was condemned, crucified, and died, in response to the murderous demands made by the apostate Jewish hierarchy, and He was buried.
He descended into hell. The third day he arose from the dead, appeared to and witnessed to His disciples and apostles over a period of 40 days, thence He ascended into heaven in full view of above 500 witnesses, and is seated at (sitteth on) the right hand of GOD the Father Almighty until His enemies be made His footstool; thence HE shall come to judge both the quick and the dead.
We Believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the spirit, soul, and body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
. CHRIST's Resurrection of Life, Body - additional brief Statement of Faith
We Believe that all of GOD's Holy Bible attests to the truth of Jesus the CHRIST, the Son of Man; that the New Testament shows forth the fulfillment of the promises and prophecies of the Old Testament, the Tanach, as recorded in the Law, the Psalms, and the Prophets, that in a few short years all will be fulfilled, and the millennial reign of CHRIST Jesus will commence. We Believe that we are living during the final climactic times of history, the best and worst of times, and have been afforded this opportunity expressly for the fulfillment of GOD's purposes, His will.
. CHRIST's Resurrection of Life, Body - additional brief Statement of Practice
At the present time due to constraints imposed by dearth of resources (i.e., chiefly dearth of funds and facilities), CRLB is not able to provide services, much less the schedule of services intended.* However, far greater than the need of material resources, is the need for enduement with supernatural power to work the works and to work greater works, i.e., to heal the sick; raise the dead; cast out devils; set the captives free; rescue and restore the enslaved, raped, prostituted, defiled, tortured, tormented, traumatized, terrorized; restore the maimed and mutilated; restore the burned, disfigured, and scarred; give sight to the blind; hearing to the deaf; speech to the dumb/the mute; to heal the halt and lame; to make the crippled and paralyzed whole; heal the brain injured; heal and restore the lepers... and usher multitudes into the kingdom of God.
CRLB is committed to focusing on the LORD, not on man; on the LORD's ways, not man's; on the LORD's priorities, not man's.
When adequate resources become available (including the exclusive or near-exclusive use of a facility), CRLB services will commence; these services will chiefly emphasize prayer, preaching, teaching, and more prayer; as for music, there will be worship & praise, chiefly worship, but it will be limited. All CRLB services will follow this pattern. The King James Bible will be used.
No "church growth" programs, nor "mega-church" methods will ever be employed or emulated; this is the LORD's church, His house of prayer, it is not a business and will not be approached nor services conducted according to carnal man's worldly "wisdom."
No special programs will be instituted, nor conducted.**
Services will not be confined to a man-made tradition of service schedule, e.g., only on Sundays & Wednesdays; but instead, services will be conducted in accord with scripture; thus CRLB is intent on providing services on a nightly or daily basis, e.g., services every evening & and additionally a morning service on Lord's Day.
As for why services will be conducted on a nightly or daily basis, or nearly so, the reasons are Biblical, historical, and practical. Daily and nightly services are scriptural: it is the Biblical model, i.e., it is what Jesus and the Apostles did; furthermore it constitutes the reasonable use, the best stewardship of a church facility. Daily and nightly services are historical: this pattern has been evident whenever there has been true revival throughout the history of the church. Daily and nightly services are practical: many people find it difficult, if not impossible, to attend church services regularly on the Lord's Day and on Wednesday nights, due to being required to work in their secular employment on these days & nights; this is common for christian people employed in hospitals and nursing facilities, ambulance companies, flying ambulances, police work, firefighting, military, security, and retail, restaurant, hospitality, and travel industries; it is also true for people juggling two jobs, a few part-time jobs, or a job and school, and especially for single parents; whereas, in this formerly great USA, members of false religions, notably Muslims, are not restricted by employers!
Over the years many well-intended programs have made their way into the 'church,' and indeed some of them have been seen at times to be profitable, one especially outstanding example being that of Dwight L. Moody's "Sunday Schools." But today the church in America is replete with programs, most of which are not inspired by GOD (to put it mildly), and even those programs which are somewhat beneficial are already more than amply provided for.
What is sorely lacking in the Church in America is not programs, nor administrators, not marketing savvy, nor material resources, nor talent, nor intellect, nor knowledge. What is lacking in the church in America, is the fear of the Lord (without which there can be no godly wisdom), holiness, inspiration from GOD, devotion to GOD, zeal for the LORD, zeal for the truth...and empowerment from God!
Thus, CRLB seeks to address, and in some measure fill, this void; though without God's literal empowerment, i.e., enduement with power, and also provision of resources, it will not be possible to do any good thing.
The Lord's ministry - yes, the Lord did have a specific model of ministry, and no, you will not find it in the overwhelming majority of 'christian' churches in the US of A of today; the Lord's ministry was dependent upon the power of God, from the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost, which was rooted in Christ's fear of God and obedience to God the Father (yes, I did state Christ's fear of God!), per Malachi 2:1-17 esp. 4-7.
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And His fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto Him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and He healed them. And there followed Him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Matthew 10:1; 10:5-8
And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The Acts 5:42
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
The Acts 28:30-31
And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. [Paul preached and taught within his hired house because he was under house-arrest!]
The Lord ministered by teaching, preaching, healing, casting out devils, and raising the dead; He ministered to as many as came to Him or were brought to Him. Jesus never compromised the Word of God to please people, e.g., "to win people," "to keep from offending people," "to reach the lost," nor "to gain access to people or nations of people, the better to evangelize the lost"....
The pastor of CRLB believes ministering to the body as a body is the Biblical pattern, the scriptural precedent to follow, and is the most effective means for ministering to the needs of believers during services (in addition to very briefly ministering to individuals); consequently, the array of special group ministries will be left to the multitudes of congregations that choose to feature such "ministry" (typically to attract members, grow their "churches," prosper their "ministries," and line their bank accounts!).
As a man who has known the Lord since I was a comparatively young adult (22), and who has always desired and needed marriage and wedded love, and desired children, and never been so blessed (though life has now passed me by), I am extremely sensitive to the need for unmarried christians to find spouses, and I believe the church should make it a priority to provide ample opportunity for unmarried christians to gather, mix, meet, become acquainted, get to know each other (not intimately!), work together...come together (again, not intimately); but, church services are not the vehicles to accomplish the end of facilitating godly marriages being formed (as godly and utterly needful an end as it truly is!).
For those few souls who are tired of being entertained (and poorly at that) with what they allegedly want to hear, and who are desirous to hear what GOD has to say, CRLB bids you welcome, though CRLB does not physically exist in that no facility is available for services (as I am bereft of resources, which is why CRLB has not become a reality heretofore to the present), and even the location to hold such services is as yet unknown.
* Frequency of services will depend upon the availability of a suitable facility; daily services will require exclusive or nearly exclusive use of a suitable facility.
** I am willing to consider providing helps such as the following: teaching English as a second language (ESL); and school tutoring for especially deserving children, if members of the body care to take it upon themselves to provide such, and if the King James Bible is used as the text for teaching reading; however, if any such helps are provided they will be limited to daytime hours during weekdays and Saturdays, and under no circumstances will they be permitted to interfere with the regularly scheduled services; but I will give myself to prayer and to the ministry of the word (including broadcasting daily), per Acts 6:4.
Additional characteristics of CRLB services are as follows:
The purpose of services is to witness to the resurrection of the Lord; worship the Lord; honour the Lord; obey the Lord; make the truth of the Lord known; minister God's truth and blessing to His people; it is to be touched by the Lord...as well as enabled and equipped by the Lord. Nothing wonderful and powerful will occur during service except that God does it. To ensure that there is the least hindrance to God working in the services, the following conventions will be observed:
* Questions may be asked after services.
The precedent: while it is true that Jesus fielded questions from Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes, and lawyers (doctors of the law) in the Temple and in Synagogues; the apostles for all of their collective ignorance, and many displays of disrespect toward Jesus while they followed Him, still did not ask Him questions during services/while He ministered. They asked Him questions after services, typically when they were alone with Him. I am not Jesus!, but I believe the precedent is worthy to be followed!
Music during the services will have the following distinctive qualities/characteristics:
This list may be added to from time to time.
Whereas Jesus possessed perfect wisdom...I/we do not possess inerrancy and infallibility, as only GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Ghost do; but we are dedicated to faithfully seeking to rightly divide GOD's Holy Word, by seeking to hear and know Him, and yield to Him, and His Holy Spirit of Truth; and we agree with GOD's holy scripture that the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
We humbly request your prayers, and assistance in making CRLB's services a reality, so that they may be used by the Lord to serve His purposes, minister life, and advance His Kingdom, while precious fleeting time remains.
An all too brief word of testimony -
My christian experience has not been that of so many in the church in America (that is, the USA). I came to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ outside of any church, and did not come into a church body until I had read and studied God's Word for many years. When I did come into churches, church organizations, and christian schools, I was amazed by many core teachings, doctrines, dogmas, and beliefs that were and are espoused, embraced, and even required to be believed in, by so very much of the church in America. What amazed me about these core teachings, doctrines, dogmas, and beliefs, was how unbiblical they were and are; I could not imagine how good, decent, honest, honourable, intelligent, sincere people could come to hold such beliefs...and I still cannot. When I have had opportunity to preach in churches on a substitute basis, I have preached the truth contrary to the popularly-held lies, thus instead of tickling the ears of the congregations and being rewarded for so doing, I have been shunned and ostracized, while hirelings and wolves in sheep's clothing continue to be wooed, embraced, enriched, idolized...and served (though the true "servants of the Lord Jesus" serve the Lord and His flock rather than being served by them).
CHRIST's Resurrection of Life, Body - Services
CHRIST is Risen, CHRIST shall come again!
Verily, verily, we attest that these things are so.
